Did you go to camp this summer? If so, write a paragraph about what you did at camp and what you learned.

  1. Yes! I went to Camp Seafarer. It was really fun. I did swimming, the zipline, arts and crafts, motorboating, etc. I learned how to play GaGa and tennis. GaGa is when you are in a pit with sand inside and there is a ball in the pit. If you get hit by the ball, you are out. It was really really fun.

  2. I went to Arduino robotics camp I got an Arduino chip and it had Alot of accessories, (LED lights, buzzers, wires etc.) On the third day I built my robot, it has 3 wheels (or two regular wheels and a little ball that serves as a third wheel.) the two "regular" wheels have motors called servos that the wheels were connected to, I put my Arduino chip on another chip and connected the chip to a USB cable connected to a computer (it has two monitors by the way) and I could program the chip to do stuff like spin the servos connected to the wheels so the wheels will spin.

  4. I went to a Hammerheads soccer camp. First we played two games of knockout. Knockout is a game where you dribble your ball and try to knock out someone else's ball. The couches always win! I learned how to kick better with my non-dominant foot. My dominant foot is my left foot. My favorite part of camp was playing World Cup.

  5. This summer I went to engineering camp. First I made a room alarm and a light up journal. Next we made a blueprint of our rooms, a lamp with a tilt sensor, used a 3D printer, and made cardboard furniture. One of my favorite things we made was a firefly nightlight. This was the best camp so far this summer.

  6. This summer I went to Camp Seafarer and it was my first sleep away camp. I made many new friends including the eight other girls in my cabin. I received a white swim band that allowed me to do all water activities. Some of my favorite things at camp include motor boating, sailing on small and large boats, zip line, water slides, Taylor Swift lodge, rope swing, and learning to play Gaga. Next year, I hope to stay for two weeks and spend more time with my friends.

  7. This summer I spent one week at Camp Sea Gull. My classmate, Walker, and I shared a cabin with a total of 7 boys. Every day, we went to the river for activities that included swimming, sailing, or motor boating. I enjoyed checking items off my punchcard of land and water activities. Some of my favorite land activities were riflery and archery. I even shot a bullseye in archery! I was disappointed that I didn't get to ride the Jeep, but I'm hoping to go back next summer for two weeks so I can have more time (and win more fireballs at the Fireball Carnival).

  8. This summer I went to Camp Cheerio for one week. I did so many fun things at camp. I rode horses, played in the lake, and made a lot of new friends. I also learned a new game called nine square at camp. Nine square is a little bit like four square combined with volleyball. Instead of having four squares drawn on the ground, nine square is played in a cage with bars over head like a big tic-tac-toe board. The player in the middle is called the king and gets to serve. The ball has to go over the bars into another player's square. That player must hit the ball over the bars into any of the other player's squares without letting the ball touch the ground. I think nine square is way more fun than four square because more people get to play!
