  1. Crenshaw is a book about a boy named Jackson and his imaginary friend Crenshaw. Crenshaw is a cat. The book tells about friends and why they matter. Jackson and his family are struggling with money. They do not have enough of it. They have to sell their house. They have to live in a minivan now for the second time. Crenshaw, Jackson's imaginary friend, told him to have a yard sale. So they did. They raised enough money to buy a house.
I liked the book Crenshaw because Jackson and his family were able to come up with a solution for their problem.

  5. This summer I read a story about a girl whose mom was ruining her life. The title is My Mom is trying to ruin my life. One way her mom was trying to ruin her life was mas kissing her in front of her friends. Another way her mom was ruining her life was not letting her eat anything that she wanted to that wasn't healthy for her. Her dad was also trying to ruin her life. One way her dad ruined her life was making her do her homework whenever he got home from work no matter what she was in the middle of doing. In the end she realized her parents weren't trying to ruin her life they were trying to help her.

  11. I just read "Bad Kitty: Drawn to Perfection." It was about all the parts of writing a story. I learned about protagonists, antagonists, plots and conflict. Kitty was the protagonist and the dog was the antagonist. Kitty had to go on a diet and didn't like turnips. It was funny and I think you should read it. (Siena B.-- going into 1st grade)
